State Controller John Chiang has updated his office’s online database, Government Compensation in California, adding the earnings of nearly 380,000 employees of state agencies and the California State University system, reports Natasha Lindstrom in the Victor Valley Daily Press. “New data released Tuesday represents 256,222 state employees and 123,406 CSU employees,” she says. The display already shows compensation levels of local agencies other than school and community college districts. The data report position earnings, not names, but the names are available by request under the California Public Records Act.
