Recently we reported our principal accomplishments in 2012 and noted some key projects on the agenda for the coming year. We also thanked all of you who showed your support by joining as a member of CalAware or otherwise making a financial contribution. We’re giving our website a facelift—updating some things unplugged by a few malware attacks this year, and upgrading some others to make our resources and services more visible and accessible. Part of the new look is to show “what we’re fighting for”—scenes of people enjoying the open government and First Amendment rights we’re committed to protecting and advancing. Those rights you don’t need to pay anyone for; they’re priceless. But not worthless to bother protecting. If you think it’s worthwhile to have someone standing watch for Californians’ rights in particular, especially if you haven’t yet joined or contributed, please help us however much you can.
