Images-32 FREE PRESS/SPEECH — In the months immediately after 9/11 one heard repeated stories of journalists and private citizens being questioned for taking pictures of buildings, port and industrial facilities, bridges, dams etc. for fear of terrorist scouting.  That anxiety has pretty much evaporated here, but in another country with several terrible episodes since then, it's now illegal to photograph police and members of the armed forces.  But some, on principle, have begun to defy this prohibition, which the police apparently are seldom enforcing anyway.
