PUBLIC INFORMATION — The North County Times in Vista reports that San Diego County officials on Monday declined to release the results of an in-house investigation into allegations that employees may have given some medical vendors preferential treatment.
County spokesman Mike Workman said Monday the report on the investigation was protected under attorney-client privilege and was not a public document.
On Sunday, the Voice of San Diego, an online news organization that broke the story, reported that county counsel John Sansone said the investigation did not turn up any serious misconduct.
But county officials would not comment on any specifics of what the investigators found or what disciplinary action was taken against county staff, the Voice of San Diego reported.
